2 Lunchbreaks

Revenge is a confession of pain.

Those who take revenge to heal their emotional pain, should also take a glass of salt water to heal their thirst.

Like the mythical Sisyphus who was punished by Queen Persephone by being made to roll a huge boulder up a steep hill, only to have it roll back down again and again, revenge can be an exhausting and futile pursuit.

Those who seek it are at risk of greater pain, because revenge can come rolling back down … crushing us and breaking everything we use to give it motion.

‘Revenge is the weak pleasure of a little and narrow mind’
